One of these things is not like the others

Introducing: the latest addition to our kegerator!
Our new, lovely nitro tap! Now, we don’t have a nitrogen/CO2 tank yet, but we’ll get there. Baby steps.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this method of keg dispensing, this special kind of faucet pushes the beer through a restrictor plate, which forces the dissolved nitrogen gas out of solution. By de-gassing the beer, you end up with itty-bitty tiny bubbles, which gives you a smoother mouthfeel and a thick, creamy, cascading head. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, think Guinness).
Once we get our nitro system up and running, I’ll provide another update. I’m really looking forward to trying this out on our Foreign Extra Stout. Until then, feel free to marvel at the faucet’s beauty.
